Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Middle-aged Italian-American woman, twice divorced, partnered to a hugely tall person, parent of an 11-year-old force of nature. I work in publishing. I like reading, writing, cross-stitch, cats, owls, chocolate, cake, chocolate cake, theater (from local to Broadway), acting, music, karaoke, tea, ice cream, Robyn Hitchcock, Kate Bush, They Might Be Giants, Harry Houdini, P.T. Barnum, Audrey Hepburn, Newport Rhode Island, laughing and a lot of other stuff. My LJ is mostly friendslocked, but if you knock I'll let you in.
Top 5 fandoms: I don't identify with fandoms. I like a lot of stuff. I dislike a lot of stuff. I will tell you about it.
I mostly post about... Uh...life. Talking about who I am now, as opposed to who I used to be. Moderate bitching, though bitching seems to have fallen out of fashion.
My last three LJ posts were about... 1. The election is making Facebook suck and making people suck, my cat is being an asshole and needs to be put in the basement, but I have Cheetos -- which I almost never have -- so that's good. 2. The results of the election displease me and people's reactions to the results of the election displease me, therefore I am going to the DC rally in January. 3. I survived Thanksgiving with my family, the election was not mentioned, and it was actually a pretty good time.
How often do you post? How about commenting? I post a couple of times a month. I comment a couple of times a month. If LJ perks up again, I could see myself going back to my oldschool ways of posting every day/several times a day and commenting up a storm.
A GIF to describe how your day has been today so far: O loard, do I know how to post a gif? Here, let's try this...
