I don't own a cell phone so that's about it for me! Books are really important!
Describe yourself in five sentences or less:
I'm a single woman of 43 (no previous marriages and no kids) who lives in Southern Ontario in Canada. I work as a bookseller in a mall and live close to my parents and we are struggling through caring for my elderly aunt. I am obsessed with books, figure skating, hockey, politics and adoption blogs. I do suffer from depression and PTSD but I've managed to heal from Borderline Personality Disorder which took a LOT of work.
Top 5 Fandoms:
The West Wing is my biggest fandom and I'd love to be more involved in it - very, very funny and timely. It's basically how I learned US history and government (being Canadian)
House was second and I still miss Hugh Laurie on my TV on a weekly basis.
Third was White Collar and I've expanded it to include anything Matt Bomer is or does. We grew up in similar family situations and some of my healing as been from turning my back on the evangelical church. I would love to sit down and talk to him about that someday!
Battlestar Galactica changed how I thought about science fiction and the message that it could deliver.
At the moment I love Hawaii Five-0 fanfiction but I almost never watch the show.
I mostly post about...life! My early entries (I started in 2003ish and stopped writing in 2011) are there for your perusal once we are friends. I've written the smallest of new introductions for 2017 and am still thinking through what themes I want to put out there and what I need to keep to myself. All my entries are friends only for my comfort!
My last three LJ posts were about...
Intro, my mother being diagnosed with cancer and... I can't remember. Much more catching up has to happen!
How often do you post? How about commenting?
My goal is to post at least twice a week once I get on a roll but I really like commenting.
Feel free to friend me and I'll friend back!
