Name: Jenn. I also respond to "Chief Mugwump", some dimunuitive of my username, or "Hey, you over there!"
Location: Hiding amongst the trees of western Oregon.
Tumblr/Goodreads/IG, etc: Um. I have a Tumblr. It hasn't been updated since 2009. I never update Goodreads until someone reminds me to. I'm on Twitter under this handle, but my tweets are private. I kinda fail at the whole social media thing, don't I?
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Overeager graduate student and full-time optimist with a yarn-hoarding problem (anyone want a bath puff?) seeks same (or different. Different is probably good). If you have a problem involving crochet, cats, chemistry, or how to make an apple pie that doesn't suck, I might be able to help you, or at least direct you at someone who can. A fair amount of my journal is public, and you can get a good feel from there, but in general: queer poly feminist, partnered, mildly religious, not so easily confused, Chicana and really fucking loud about it, probably boring but who isn't, these days?
Top 5 fandoms: I'm not really into fandom. Like, it takes me a long time to watch stuff, because I have an auditory processing disorder and people get shirty about subtitles or captioning stuff, and I've just never really gotten into it for other stuff. I like media, I just don't generally engage with it through fandom. :)
I mostly post about... My life. I mean, it's mine, and what else am I going to write about? Most of my journal is a record of my life—living in Oregon, the weird process of realizing that I'm an adult (and have been for a reasonably long time), dealing with anxiety/PTSD (though less on that, these days, since I've found treatment that mostly works), "identity politics", occasional random nattering about dating (usually just the pitfalls of it), craft stuff and whatever's caught my fancy lately. It varies. A fair amount of it is public, so you're free to go look (or gawp in horror, I don't know your priorities).
My last three LJ posts were about... Hyperbolic crochet (and life), going down to the frozen homeland (and life), and an intro post. ...hmm.
How often do you post? How about commenting? At least once a week. I think, on average, it works out to be more like twice a week, but, well, you know. I want to joke about how I only "post when the spirit moves me", but let's be realistic: if that were the case, my entries would be less about the Hairy ball theorem and more about, I dunno, interesting shit.
A GIF to describe how your day has been today so far: Er. It's been a decent Fake Monday.
