Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Oh lord and lady, not unless they're ungodly long run-on sentences which I tend towards anyway. Uh. (that doesn't count towards the five. Neither does this.) Let's just try a sort of "elevator schpiel" and see how it goes: Poly bisexual fangirl slashfic writer addicted to words and stories, seeking more nerdy supportive communities to talk about shit that matters in the world at both macro and micro levels. Tattooed social justice warrior (though you wouldn't think so to look at my face); eclectic pagan with interests in Wicca, Buddhism, Anthroposophy, Waldorf education, Norse, Celtic, and Hellenic deities. Compiling stories on Archive Of Our Own and joining with more #resist groups in 2017. I love to write, fuss my cats, house, husband and significant others, host gatherings, eat delicious food, wear soft touchable clothes, take artistic photos, and burn down the patriarchy. Oh, and I say "fuck" a lot, fair warning.
Top 5 fandoms: Check! Please is my passion at the moment; those dumb hockey boys made me cry with the recent update. I also consider Marvel Cinematic Universe to be a single fandom, which makes things easy and inclusive. BBC Sherlock. Girl Genius for over ten years. I enjoy shows and stories with an ensemble of interesting characters (hence why I'm no longer keeping up with Who). Some favorite shows/books: The West Wing, The Newsroom, Firefly, Agents of Shield, Luke Cage (!), the new Star Wars movies, the rebooted Star Trek, Foyle's War (BBC), other period pieces and costume dramas, like Downton Abbey.
I mostly post about... Used to post a lot of braindust, daily accomplishments, exercise posts, things I realized. Not sure exactly where I'm going to go in the new year, please note the Describe Yourself section above.
My last three LJ posts were about... recent Holiday/Yule observations, a questions meme, and Oh, Yeah, a call to political action. That's gonna be a Thing.
How often do you post? How about commenting? I've been a member since 2003, and I used to post multiple times a day, and comment on All The Things. I've been falling away from Livejournal in the last couple of years, spending more time on Facebook and Tumblr. I'd like to be here more often, Facebook is so god damn frustrating/addictive/frustrating... Hopefully having some new people to talk to and get to know will revitalize my perception of LJ and will help keep me actively engaged.
