Describe yourself in five sentences or less:
I have a lot of opinions, have always had a lot of opinions, and got in big trouble at school for it - luckily that was ages ago. I live on an island a long way away from the rest of the world to the point where often we get missed off maps and sometimes I write about this dynamic cos it's equal parts awesome, frustrating, and amusing. I'm into costuming, historically cosplay but also festival, and have recently branched into performance costumes because I took up pole dancing. I do volunteer work in drug related harm reduction and have been instrumental in raising awareness and legitimacy around substance checking at festivals as a harm reduction tool that actually works. Burner, even though as an identity I find that kind of embarrassing in the 'lack of self-awareness of own privilege' sort of way that it's often portrayed on the internet, I like to think that actually we can take the piss out of ourselves and still achieve something in the world. Also, I can't count and am wordy.
Top 5 fandoms: Dragon Age, Dragon Age, Dragon Age, yeah, you get the idea. Bioware in general are awesome but I loves me some real-world-subverted medieval-magical social commentary with hot people bonking. About time they introduced polyamory.
I mostly post about... whatever is in my head on any given day. Everything from the latest internet outrage to my Dad's adventures as a dolphin trainer to pictures of my feet and links to random silliness. Also, sheep.
My last three LJ posts were about...1. How I haven't posted for ages and should try harder. 2. Pavlova! 3. The weird picture of a horse in a bushfire on my new calendar, and the travels of my favourite tracked shark.
How often do you post? How about commenting? Used to post daily, have struggled a bit this year due to new work eating my habitual writing time and also the lack of interaction as it's shrunk making me feel like I've run out of interesting things to say. Will probably post more often while I'm on holiday. I comment when I see something I have something to say about, and also when I get time to read. I try not to post nothing comments that are hard to think of a reply to because that's not really interaction. LJ's better than Facebook in that way.
A GIF to describe how your day has been today so far: Here is a link to my Making Stuff website instead: https://tatjna.com/ Cos that's more interesting.
