Describe yourself in five sentences or less:
I am somewhat fickle, taking up sudden ideas and obsessing on them for a time before completely abandoning them for the next obsession.
I got remarried this past February (2nd time round for both of us) although we bought a monster house together 6 years ago (almost time to downsize to that bungalow).
In the past few years my primary obsessions have been Sailing (particularly buying a sailboat and retiring to Cruise around the world, following the sun), Hiking (This summer my wife and I hope to take a couple of weeks and section hike some of the Bruce trail).
I am an INTP-T, much preferring solitude or one on one interactions to being with groups.
I have a few very close friends(almost exclusively women) for whom I would do anything, but I don't really talk to most of my family anymore.
Top 5 fandoms: From what I understand fandom implies an obsessive interest in a particular show, series, etc. I'm not sure that I have that with any particular thing. I love good speculative fiction(or science fiction). I grew up reading a lot of Golden Era SF and still love my Robert Heinlein stories (in spite of some of his faults) and a lot of classic literature. These days I read a bit of everything. I watch too much Netflix, but really I prefer to read.
I mostly post about... whatever is on my mind, hiking, sailing, reading, books, dreams for retirement.
My last three LJ posts were about...all from 2010...1 about new house purchase and all the work that was needed (if only I had known just how much more there would be), 1 about whining coworkers that worry more about other people than getting work done, and 1 about finding an easier way to read LJ posts on the go.
How often do you post? How about commenting? Not very often apparently, but I intend to change that and try to post at least a couple of times a week.
